It has been shown that the bivalve mollusc Anodonta cygnea, and lake frog Rana ridibunda represent the highly sensitive molecular targets for different molecular forms of zink. An elevation of methallothyonein protein content most likely due to activation of their expression under influence of Zn, nanoZnO and a nanoZnO+thyocarbamate. Methallothyonein system functions as an organic component of a stress response while correlating with an activation of antiooxidant defense. Under conditions of combined influence of nanomatherial and heat stress the hyperthermia appears to be a key component that modulates molecular responces to stress.
