Preoperative assessment of patients' condition including haemodynamic assessment, determination of cardiac troponin I level along with using assessment scales to define risk of cardiovascular complications may contribute timely correction in anaesthetic and surgical tactics. The method of providing anaesthesia to the patients with purulent - necrotic complications of diabetic foot which involves the preoperative cardiac risk assessment in combination with perioperative metabolic treatment with infusion of hydroxyethyl starch 200/0.5 along with thiotriazoline has been improved to prevent acute myocardial ischemia.
