Research objective - to extend theoretical and methodological foundations and to justify proposals on the state support of the investment processes in feed production for livestock using international experience, to determine indices of costs for forage crop cultivation and the need for investments in fixed assets of feed production for farms and complexes of cattle. Research methods - up-to-date methods of economic research are going to be applied to process primary materials and to conduct the study: dialectical method of cognition and systematic approach to the study of economic processes, techniques of abstract and logical method, in particular such as analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction. Analytical studies are planned to be carried out on the basis of economic and statistical methods of comparison, generalization, use of medium and relative values, methods of analysis of the structure and dynamics, tabular and graphical methods of data presentation. Current state of feed production is evaluated, scientific foundations of the state support of investment processes in feed production are studied, international experience is generalized and proposals for stimulating investment processes in the domestic feed production are developed. Required amount of investments in feed production for starting a dairy farm is justified. Conducted researches and generalizations will contribute to the development of the perspective approaches of feed production development, reduction of the risks of investment projects in dairy farming and more precise substantiation of the required government support.
