This means that the demand for loans was not an adequate income treated individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses, leading to a significant deterioration in credit portfolios. Much of the borrowers failed to fulfill the conditions of loan agreements due to the reduction real incomes. Scientific novelty of the results is to justify the methodological foundations of management and use management of distressed assets in the bank. In particular, the theoretical and methodological foundations of distressed assets in the bank's activities, and singled out the causes of the occurrence and developed an integrated approach to the organization of banks with troubled assets are exposed. The place and role of managing problem loans in the overall system of bad assets of banks are revealed. Practical recommendations for improving the mechanism for managing problem assets are exploited. The influence of distressed assets on stability of the banking institutions are analyzed. The modern methods of management of distressed assets of the bank as at the level of the banking system , namely the creation of hospital , "Bridge" and " Bad " banks and at the level of individual banks in particular are investigated.
