Subjective of the SRW - to give a scientific rationalization of sanitary-epidemiological approaches to the performance of the preventive state sanitary-epidemiological supervision of the objects of town-planning under present conditions. Research methods: expert, sanitary-hygienic, analytical, sanitary-statistical, questionnaire. Obtained results: new sanitary-hygienic approaches to the performance of state sanitary supervision under conditions of the new sanitary and town-planning legislation were established; peculiarities of modern town building, their social, engineering, transport infrastructure and environment state were identified; the most acute sanitary-hygienic problems of the studied cities and oblasts were defined; peculiarities of the location and building of the objects of industrial, construction, and transport engineering and their conformity to their requirements of sanitary legislation were identified. Proposals for revision of the standard SPZ of the enterprises of non-ferrous metallurgy for ferroalloys, electroplate production of asphalt concrete plans, strippings for the fireclay quarrying, and filling points. Initiative letters and reports were sent to the MPH and to the specialized committees of the SU of Ukraine on the implementation of the functions of the preventive state sanitary supervision. 2 standard documents (2 State Sanitary Rules and Standards on the perinatal centers and out-patients' clinics) were developed and implemented, 2 standard documents (State Sanitary Rules and Standards on filling points and confectionary enterprises) were developed and sent to the MPH. 6 information letters were developed and edited.
