A method of surgical treatment of optic neuropathy in patients with high myopia by meridional scleroplasty using biological material based on bone collagen was suggested. Reducing the regional hemodynamic at patients with retinal detachment was revealed and proposed the complex surgical treatment: extrasclera surgery and indirect revascularization of the eye. The effect of short carotenoids on the visual, functional state of the eye, angiogenesis and biochemical level of lipid metabolism in patients with diabetes mellitus and manifestations of diabetic neuropathy and in glaucoma patients was studied for the first time..
