The aim was to estimate native and artificial selection for administrative decisions improvement in the field of Ukrainian regions population reproduction optimization. The methods: epidemiological, statistical. The results. The processes of native and artificial selection were quantitatively characterized among the population different age in Ukrainian regions. Following indexes were calculated: the frequency and risk of birth children with birth defects among born alive, still born and genetically caused abortions; the frequency and risk of disablement and death among children of 0-17 years old; the frequency and risk of women and men infertility; the frequency and risk of spontaneous and artificial abortions; the frequency and risk of application of hormonal contraceptives and intrauterine spirals. The computer data base of infertility marriages was created in Chernivetska Oblast. Infertility risk was calculated under factors combination. The prophylaxis efficacy of comparative genome hybridization in before implantation embryos investigations was shown. The attention to endocrine diseases prevalence among pregnant women was paid as to congenital pathology factor. The influence of infertility, reproductive losses because of fetus and artificial abortions on population reproduction was characterized; economical losses because of these factors were calculated. The ways of birth defects primary prophylaxis were substantiated; they concern to spontaneous abortions and infertility prophylaxis within the general practitioner qualification characteristic. The regions for urgent administrative decisions were found out.
