There were researched: functional state of the central nervous system and indicators of mental efficiency personality traits, level of intellect, mental and physical health of adolescents. The prevalence of prenozological mental states preciding depression, asthenia and hypochondria was investigated; direct and indirect risk factors for mental disorders in adolescents were found, the characteristics of the psychological profile of the senior pupil - habitants of the big city were determined. A system of measures for the psycho-prophylaxis of primary psychiatric disorders among adolescents and youth people in the large city was justified and implemented.
