It was shown that the morphology and textural characteristics of the samples are determined by the structure of the template. It was established that the addition of fluoride mineralizing agents during zeolite synthesis improves porosity characteristics and increases the content of Lewis acid sites in the obtained catalysts. Conversion of 4-methoxybenzyl aldehyde enhanced by higher content of isomorphically incorporated elements (due to the addition of mineralizing agents during zeolite synthesis) in the composition of hierarchically porous Sn- and Zr-containing zeolite catalysts. The selectivity of the process depends on the nature and amount of mineralizing agent, which defines the type and content of acid sites and the size of the external surface of zeolite.
