The main objective of the research work - evaluation of research results in competitive strain testing for economically valuable traits that will ensure the competitiveness of sorts. The studies highlighted is middle and late forms of wheatgrass medium, which are a study in breeding nurseries in accordance with the scheme of the selection process. In the nursery competitive variety trials better feed efficiency was noted in the selection of the samples by the numbers 10, 7, and 28. The data selection for feed samples exceed the performance standard for 0,15-0,26 kg / m2, and for seed production - by 19-34, 4%. Highlighted is middle and late forms of wheatgrass average. Among the middle-shape better feed efficiency resulting in competitive strain testing in breeding samples 64/2, 63/2 and 87/2 and was 3.37 kg / m2, 3.43 and 3.45 kg / m2, respectively.
