Purpose of study - improve diagnosis and results of surgical treatment in patients with HLHS. Methods: general clinical examination, biochemical examination, electrocardiography, clinical ultrasound, radiography, angiography, statistics, pathological analysis. The theoretical value of the results, which were received during scientific work, consist in detaile study of natural history in patients with HLHS in the preoperative, interstage and in a remote periods, and development of medical tactics for patients with HLHS. With this work was improved examination's algorithm of human myocardium normal morphogenesis according to a comprehensive study of fetal hearts and newborn hearts. First was demarcated varients of HLHS for pathological sensitivity and specificity. The scientific novelty of the results consist in presentation a comprehensive analysis of treatment of HLHS and determine factors, influence on the outcomes of surgical correction. The practical value of the results based on the study of anatomical and physiological features of cardiac abnormalities in patients after first and second stages of HLHS surgical correction was suggested clinical examination program of patients with HLHS. Identified and substantiated indications and contraindications for different types of surgical correction. Reception of diagnostic criterias for surgical tactics, also improving methods of diagnosis and surgical correction, led to a decrease surgical risk and improve results.
