Objectives - determination of the fundamentals of carbonization of domestic and biological wastes in coal and catalytic conversion of volatile. Methods of research - standard methods for solid fuel research and new methods for assessment of carbonization, catalytic conversion of volatile, coal gasification, and CO2 fixation processes. An analysis of recent advances in the SOW conversion is carried out. There were summarized the experimental data of: the SOW conversion; the influence of waste impregnation with water solutions on the yield and composition of the coal and obtained gas; the composition of the obtained gas in cases of carbonization and steam gasification of waste with and without CO2 absorption; the impact of the addition of catalysts on SOW conversion. There were determined the approaches to reduce emissions and greenhouse gases into the environment due to the use of: absorbers of carbon dioxide, catalysts of volatile conversion directly in prepared SOW mixtures; optimization of hydrogen, carbon and oxygen contents in the mixtures. There were developed new basic circuits of SOW conversion using modern technologies of: carbonization with catalytic conversion of volatile matter and steam gasification in fluidized bed with CO2 absorption. The technical recommendations with technical and economic parameters for choosing the optimal requirements for SOW conversion to produce hydrogen, coal, electricity, and heat were developed. Basic components of commercial-scale installation DualEx (the installation of dual purpose with external heating of SOW) are created. Installation DualEx is designed to produce gas with high hydrogen content for the further production of energy (electricity and heat) and chemical compounds (hydrogen and liquid products). The created installation can operate in two modes (with feed of gasifying agents both on layer of solid fuel and inside layer of solid fuel). Product Description popup.authors Дудник О. М.
