Karazin popup.description2 Object of the investigations is the lunar surface. Goal of the work is prognosis of structural and chemical-mineralogical characteristics of the Moon with methods of optical remote sensing using satellite data from space data of different spatial resolution and ancillary terrestrial telescopic observations; search for and interpretation of structural and chemical-mineralogical anomalies of lunar surface. Methods of investigation are spectrometrical, photometrical and polarimetrical, using theoretical analysis and computer simulation for interpreting the results. The opposition effect of the equatorial areas of the Moon is investigated using cameras LROC WAC and NAC of LRO spacecraft. A new diagnostic parameter "width of coherent backscatter" is proposed to describe a coherent part of the opposition surge and its assessment in the visible spectrum is suggested. For ultra-low phase angles the phase function obtained from phase-ratio method is acquired. The impact of the angular size of the Sun on the shape of the opposition peak is calculated. Model phase function that corresponds to a point light source is restored. For the first time the color opposition effect of the Moon is detected with orbital space data of M3 spectrometer onboard spacecraft Chandraeaan-1. The dominance of shadow effect and incoherent multiple scattering in the lunar opposition effect at alpha > 2 grad. is proved. The method of retrieving information about lunar relief from any individual multispectral observation by LROC WAC camera is developed. The method provides comparable and even greater accuracy as compared with the international standard elevation map GLD100. We completed a series of new maps of phase function of polarization degree: parameters of negative branch, maps of minimum degree of polarization, and polarization for the inversion angle. The method of identifying perturbations of the primordial soil structure caused by artificial and natural factors is developed. The technique makes it possible to evaluate the roughness of lightscattering surface at the scales smaller than the element of resolution. Computer models of agglomerated debris particles that are components of the lunar regolith are created; the comparison of model light scattering with experimentally measured parameters of samples of lunar minerals is carried out. Good agreement between measured model properties and real particles is proved. These results can be used to simulate the light scattering by lunar regolith. Product Description popup.authors Є.
