Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Object of research: winter wheat varieties, hybrid populations, introgressive material, photoperiodic sensitivity, vernalization requirement. The purpose of research: to investigate the features of formation of adaptive potential of modern varieties of soft winter wheat. Methods of research: field, laboratory and statistical. Results of researches and their novelty. Vernalization necessity of 32 varieties of soft winter wheat of breeding MIP was determined. Photoperiodic sensitivity of 14 varieties bred at MIW was defined. Identification of alleles of genes that determine the duration of vernalization requirement for the 20 varieties bred at MIW was conducted. It was detected that in area of MIW activity to be optimal if varieties with duration of vernalization requirement about 50 days have weak sensitivity to photoperiod, and ones with duration of 30-40 days have average sensitivity. Based on a complex study of the material created at the laboratory of genetics and physiology by wide crossings forms with high level of crop capacity, grain quality indices, frost hardiness, resistance to harmfulness diseases were defined. Field of use: plant genetics and breeding.
