Together with the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, a special questionnaire was developed to evaluate maintenance, methodical, program and logistics support of individual monitoring. Information provided by 38 IDM laboratories engaged in monitoring 40254 category A staff members was analysed. The services can be divided into small (up to 100 people on IDM) - 13, medium (101-1000 people) - 17, and large (over 1,000 people) - 7. Mainly services are equipped with acceptable TLD systems, including outdated systems (DTU, DVG, KDT), only about 3.5% of staff receive monitored using unacceptable types of dosimeters (film, ionizing, electronic). All services carriy out monitoring of total body doses for gamma and X-ray irradiation, in addition, 4 services control limbs exposure, 7 neutron exposure, 2 irradiation of lens. The survey results show readiness of existing IDM services and laboratories in Ukraine to integrate into the United system of monitoring and accounting of individual doses. Despite some shortcomings and problematic aspects, there are all prerequisites for the rapid and effective establishment of the system as well as input of the national dose register with reliable information about individual doses of the personnel category A.
