The goal of the research is to try to generalize the ways of studing the problems of Ukrainian social history from the late 1940s till the late 1960s. The concepts that are used for this purpose include <<transformation>>, << traditional society>>, and <<modernization>>. The major research methods are anthropocetrie, problem-chronological, comparative and interdisciplinary. The results of the research are monographies "Social transfomations in the Ukraine from the late Stalinism till the Khrushchev period", "The religions consciousness of believers of Ukrainian SSR (1940-1980s): manifestations, transformatoins", chapters in the books, and articles in the scholar journal " Ukraine of the XX-th century: culture, ideolody, politics", the collection of documents "Kurenivska tragedy in Kyiv in 1961: preconditions, circumstances, consequences", the book "Selected scientific works of academician V.I.Vernadsky. Vol.2.". In general, the volume of 190,95 printed sheets was published during the period under report.
