Objects of study are brine, peloids and living resources of the Kuyalnik liman, including autotrophic microorganisms and Artemia salina, seawater quality of Odessa Bay and qualitative and quantitative composition of aquatic organisms that fall into the liman from the sea (phytoplankton, zooplankton, macrophytobenthos, macrozoobenthos). Objective of this work is determine the changes in the ecological status of Kuyalnik liman after its connection with the Black Sea. Scientific research work was done on the basis of retrospective analysis of data and field observations made in 2015 in Kuyalnik liman. The results on the observations were made in the final report by reducing annotated reports of all partners of the contract: Institute of Marine Biology NAS of Ukraine - "The impact of the seawater pouring from the Odessa Gulf to Kuyalnik liman in 2015 on the state of its natural resources, according to hydrochemical and hydrobiological indicators. (annotated report); Department of analytical chemistry and physico-chemistry of coordination compounds of the physical-chemical Institute, A.V Bogatsky NAS of Ukraine - "Impact of the seawater on the change of ion composition of the brine of the liman, threat assessment of the gypsum peloids"; Ukrainian Research Institute of Medical Rehabilitation and Health Resort of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine -"Characterization of the quality of brine and sediments of Kuyalnik liman after running water from Odessa Bay (annotated report)". The main areas of observations were intake headroom in the coastal part of the sea, output tray open sea water in the liman, five monitoring stations in coastal zone from its southern to the northern extreme. Complex hydrobiological observations were started with the launch of seawater in the liman (24.12.2014) and held monthly from December 2014 to May 2015, on August and November 2015. The launch of sea water into the liman was suspended on 21 April 2015 and was lasting 119 days. During this period the liman has received about 9.4 million m3 of seawater with average salinity of 15 ‰, i.e with the water in the liman was got about 140 thousand tons of salt. The report conclusions and recommendations to improve the hydrobiological regime of the liman and further monitoring in the conditions of supply of sea water in the liman.
