Mechnikov. Scope of the work: life safety of university students. Object: The process of preparing the students for life safety. Objective: To identify problems of safe life at university students. To develop theoretical and practical approaches, and to present them in the form of methodological recommendations of preparing students for life safety. To optimize the educational process in higher education. For the first time in Ukraine developed integrated approaches theoretical and practical training of university students to safety. We examine the issues of preparation of students for life safety of students in the scientific literature of different directions. Developed a questionnaire and conducted screening techniques to identify actual problems of safe life of university students in modern conditions. Analysis of the results of a survey of 475 students suggests a need for a comprehensive study of actual problems of safe life of university students which include: the socio-psychological attitude to risk, the ability to take decisions and be stable to the dangers of financial and economic security, the problem of employment, skills on first aid, fire safety, rescue dangers of various kinds. Turning on safe life is a must in the training of specialists in various disciplines through the discipline of civil security (Health and Safety, Fundamentals of occupational safety, Occupational safety in the industry, Civil protection). Developed educational-methodical recommendations: "Theoretical and practical approaches to train university students for life safety" in two parts. To update and promote the issue of security of life created a site for students, university professors and school teachers "Scientific and Methodological Council on civil protection and human safety of Odessa region" (www.nmr-czbjd.edukit.od.ua). Implemented teaching using multimedia equipment with the presentation video projects, presentations and their own development. Used competitively-training and multi-level approach is the dissemination of information and development of skills for life safety. The emphasis is on the practical application of acquired knowledge and skills in preparation for life safety.
