The purpose of this work is to study the characteristics of the discharge which is generated by the explosion of exploding conductors when the voltage on the capacitors is from 3000 to 10000 V. Research methods involve physical experiment, methods of registration of fast processes and static data processing. Experimental studies of amplitude-frequency characteristics of pressure waves generated by the discharge capacitors at voltage from 3000 to 10000 using an exploding wire are carried out. Investigations of electric and hydrodynamic processes accompanying electric explosion of a conductor under conditions identical to oil-producing wells are carried out. Using the developed waveguide sensor were first measured and studied the characteristics of the compression waves generated by an electric explosion of a conductor in closed volumes of fluid under high hydrostatic pressures up to 30 MPa and temperatures up to 1000C. The experimental results for conductors of different material and diameter allowed us to estimate the influence of parameters of the discharge circuit and the external environment on the flow of electric and hydrodynamic processes accompanying electric explosion of metallic conductor in a fluid.
