Investigation of radiophysic properties of solar chromosphere and Earth atmosphere in the millimeter wave range. popup.stage_title Head Ilyushin Vadim Vadimovich, Доктор фізико-математичних наук Registration Date 27-01-2016 Organization Institute of Radio Astronomy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Object of investigation. Rotational spectra of molecules with large amplitude vibrational motions, interstellar molecules, Earth atmosphere and solar chromosphere, elements of radio spectrometric equipment. Objectives of the work. Development of theoretical approaches to the spectrum analysis for molecules with large amplitude vibrational motions and investigation of the spectra of nonrigid molecules which are of interest for radio astronomy and molecular physics. Development of experimental basis for investigations of molecular spectra and atomic Rydberg spectra was also the objective of the current work as well as investigation of the of radiophysic properties of solar chromosphere and Earth atmosphere in the millimeter wave range. Investigation methods and equipment. Modern methods of quantum radiophysics, molecular spectroscopy, digital signal processing, numerical simulation are used. The measurements were done using IRA NASU automated radiospectrometer of the millimeter wave range. Results and novelty. New investigations of microwave spectra of following molecules have been carried out: acetic acid CH3COOH, methyl formate HCOOCH3, HC18OOCH3 and HCO18OCH3, acetaldehyde CH3CHO, pyruvic acid CH3COCOOH, 2-butynoic acid CH3CCCOOH, 2,6- and 3,5- difluorotoluenes CH3C6H3F2, nitromethane CH3NO2, acetone (CH3)2CO, methylamine CH3NH2, 13CH3NH2, 1,3-propandiol CH2OHCH2CH2OH, methyl isocyanate CH3NCO, 5-methyl tropolone CH3C7H4O2D. Theoretical description within experimental error was obtained for these molecular spectra for the first time. New theoretical models for spectrum analysis have been developed for molecules with several C3v groups, that undergo large amplitude torsion vibrations. On the base of developed theoretical models the sensitivity coefficients Kmu for a possible proton-electron mass ratio variation have been calculated for acetone (CH3)CO and methyl amine CH3NH2 for the first time. Basing on the results of rotational spectrum investigations the methyl isocyanate CH3NCO, HC18OOCH3 and HCO18OCH3 isotopologues of methyl formate as well as NO+ ion have been detected in the interstellar medium for the first time. Substantial modernization of IRA NASU automated spectrometer of the millimeter wave range has been carried out which provided an opportunity of systematic measurements with subdoppler resolution. Test measurements have shown that by resolution our spectrometer is highly competitive with the best foreign analogs. Experimental investigation of rotational lines of methanol CH3OH has confirmed the presence of anomalous doublet hyperfine structure in some transitions of this molecule as well as allowed to observe for the first time quite widespread quadruple splitting structure. An approach to the monitoring of convection processes in subsurface and deep solar layers has been proposed and substantiated. It is capable to provide not available earlier direct measurement of convection mixing time. The effects of solar-earth connections have been revealed, that appear as a formation of positively charged clusters under influence of solar protons which cause effective crystallization of water vapor thus forming aerosol layer. A methodology for searching correlations between weather variability and the flows of high-energy solar protons is worked out. Recommendations on using the results of the work. The results of the work may be used in the data analysis of radio astronomy investigations of interstellar medium, of solar chromosphere, in investigations of possible variations of fundamental constants, and in ecological monitoring of environment. The results obtained in the course of spectrometer modernization may be of use in institutions that are connected to the research and development of perspective telecommunication systems, as well as systems intended for environmental remote sensing. Significance of the work. Obtained results contribute to the enhancement of priority of Ukraine in the field of molecular spectroscopy as well as in the fields of molecular and atomic physics. The detection of several new interstellar molecules is an important contribution to the world science. The sensitivity coefficients in respect to possible proton-electron mass ratio variation calculated for spectral line frequencies form a basis for searches of such variations with the help of observations of distant objects in the universe. Revealing of the anomalous quartet hyperfine structure of methanol transitions may form a basis for investigations of new phenomena in molecular physics. Key words: molecule, spectrum, quantum-mechanical Hamiltonian, spectrometer, Rydberg atoms, atmosphere, radiometry, solar-earth connections, solar activity.
