Study purpose - to rationalize environmentally friendly phytosanitary control systems for cereal agrocenoses in the Eastern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Study Methods - laboratory, laboratory-field and field. Results. Scientific principles of modern environmentally friendly phytosanitary control systems for winter wheat and spring barley agrocenoses were developed. A system of rational use of dressers or tank mixtures to protect sown seeds, sprouts, seedlings and plants on ?-??? organogenesis stages against pests and diseases was developed. The technical, economic and cost-effective efficiencies of protection of soft winter wheat and spring barley crops were evaluated. Methodological approaches to the sound management of phytosanitary improvement of cereal agrocenoses, resource- and energy-saving reduction in pesticide load on agrocenoses, which meets the requirements of the environmental safety and economic feasibility, were developed. Decrease in the winter wheat and spring barley seeding rates by 12.5% and 11.1%, respectively, due to crop protection against a set of pests and diseases by pre-sowing treatment can reduce the pesticide load on these agrocenoses as well as costs for the purchase of seeds and pesticides. In addition, there is no need for 1-2 sprayings of crops against pests and diseases on ?-??? stages of organogenesis. Under the weather and phytosanitary conditions in the study years, the protection of winter wheat crops by pre-0-sowing treatment of seeds with insecticide-fungicide agents increased the yield capacity of this crop on fertilized background by 0.36 t / ha. It means 332 UAH per ha of the net operating profit with the profitability of 105%. The protection of spring barley crops maintained the grain yield in the amount of 0.84 t / ha, with the net operating profit of 770 UAH/ha and the profitability of 160%. Combined application of fertilizers and protection measures gave the gain in the grain yield of 1.67 t / ha.
