Prolonged exposure to nitrogen oxides accompanied by activation of the growth and metastasis of Lewis lung carcinoma with reduced survival period of animals, especially exposed to combined impact of factors. It has been shown a violation of free radical homeostasis, imbalance of enzymes of antioxidant protection, DNA damage accumulation and inhibition of repair system, indicating increased cancer risk. For the first time shown the role of comutagens in strengthening of induced by exogenous factors of chromosomal instability in normal cells of cancer patients. The method for integral assessment of genotoxic effects of these factors was proposed to forecast the distant negative consequences, including increased cancer risk.
