Purpose - testing sensitivity and specificity of diagnostic kits for the diagnosis of plant viruses (tobacco mosaic virus variants) in laboratory and field conditions. Research methods: laboratory - linked immunosorbent assay in modifications and indirect sandwich, electron microscopy, biological testing, mathematical and statistical - evaluation of the reliability of the results obtained, the settlement and comparative analysis methods. As a result of studies of sweet pepper seeds were found to 3 kinds of viruses, namely: cucumber mosaic virus, tomato mosaic virus and pepper mottle virus soft. During the reporting period were derived antibodies (diagnostic antiserum to the antigen of the tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). It was found that the resulting serum is specific, sensitive and suitable for mass analysis to detect TMV on pepper plants. According to its figures hyperimmune serum to TMV are not inferior to foreign analogues that are 3-5 times higher.
