The object of this work is to study thin layers and powders of thermoelectric materials based on BiTe, and generator units and cooling modules, thermoelectric branch containing such material. The aim is to develop physical models and computer methods to further define the distribution of temperatures, heat flows, capacities and densities of electric current in the thermoelectric materials of the branches, and in contact with these areas. Also, the purpose of the work includes the development of physical models and a description of heat transfer phenomena and electricity in the powder of the thermoelectric materials and thin films based on classical size effects. To achieve the goal used methods of computer modeling of heat transfer phenomena and electricity in the structures of thermoelectric modules based on phenomenological equations, as well as methods of nonequilibrium statistical physics to find the kinetic coefficients of thin films and powder of thermoelectric materials based on the scattering of charge carriers and phonons at the boundaries of thin layers of dust particles and contacts between the dust particles. The optimal thickness of the layers of microminiature thermoelectric materials based on BiTe, at which the maximum power generated. Also, the optimum temperature depending on the radii of the most probable particle powder of the thermoelectric material, the thermoelectric figure of merit that it reaches a maximum rise of 1.2 - 1.7 times compared with the single crystal. The latter makes it possible to design and create a fundamentally new class of functionally gradient thermoelectric materials (FGTM) on the basis of variable particle size distribution of powders.
