The influence of the ceramic component of the anode substrate on the electrical properties of ceramic fuel cell was investigated. Additionally, the electrolyte material based on 8YSZ and 10Sc1CeSZ was developed and its properties were studied. Research methods: scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive analyses, x-ray diffraction phase analysis, ball-on-3-balls biaxial bending test, impedance spectroscopy. It was found that 10Sc1CeSZ-NiO was incompatible with 8YSZ electrolyte due to possible poisoning of the electrolyte by ceria. The combination of NiO-10Sc1CeSZ anode with 10Sc1CeSZ electrolyte provides the highest efficiency of ceramic fuel cell. Also found that that with increasing of 8YSZ content in samples of 10Sc1CeSZ-8YSZ (33-, 40-, 50-wt. %) their porosity was reduced from 9 to 1.6 %, and decreases their ionic conductivity from 5·10-2 to 3.6·10-2 S/m.
