UPGRADE OF INFORMATIONAL VALUE OF MULTISPECTRAL IMAGES BY THE PHYSICAL CHARACTERIZATIO OF THE EARTH'S SURFACE Aim of work is upgrade of informational value of the multispectral remote sensing by the physical characterization of the earth's surface and biophysical characterization of plant communities on it. This work is commissioned by Presidium of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and within the framework of the special comprehensive programme of NAS of Ukraine scientific space research for 2012-2016. The validation of methods for remote evaluation of biophysical parameters of vegetation and natural characteristics of the earth's surface when assessing the impact of atmospheric aerosols on the environment, namely the assessment of gross productivity of agrophytocenoses, evaluation of leaf area index, determination of land cover moisture, temperature of the earth's surface and coefficients of thermal radiation at the final stage of the research have been done. The correlation between temperature and vegetation productivity have been assessed. Scientific suggestions for future use of developed methods and algorithms have been generated. The bulk of the report consists of an introduction, two chapters, and conclusions.
