Purpose of research is preventing death and ensuring working ability of adult civilian population, including population with health issues, during disasters and while working on disasters recovery through development and manufacturing of import-substituting MIP with different level of protection, including: quick-donning respiration masks for gas and dust protection with indication of "triggering" of dynamic absorbing capacity (modifications 1 and 2) that ensure absorption of disperse airborne particles of various origin and toxic gases (HF, SiF4, HCl, H2S, SO2, SO3, NO2, Cl2, HCN, NH3, CO, vapors of organic matter); heat-proof hoods with natural and with forced feeding of purified air into the hood; means of evacuation of injured personnel from the disaster area. Project outcome: analysis of design and usage of modern competitor brands of means of individual protection of adult civilian population during disasters and disaster recovery; development of technical specifications; development of catalyst for low-temperature oxidation of carbon monoxide and ampholytic chemical sorbent with visual indication of "triggering" of dynamic absorbing capacity; development of quick-donning respiration masks for gas and dust protection and protection of respiratory tract, head, neck and shoulders from mechanical and thermal injuries; development of heat-proof hood with air filtering and heat-proof hood with forced air feeding into the hood that ensure air purification from acidic and alkali gases, organic matter vapors and carbon (II) monoxide, and means of evacuation of injured personnel from the disaster area; 42 models and 101 prototypes were manufactured and laboratory tested; technical documentation, technical conditions and manufacturing guidelines for mass production of MIP were developed and were assigned documentation type "O"; the results of research were added into university course program.
