Subject of research - processes that are by operation of lifting-and-shifting machines. Goal of research consists in developing of the methods of estimation and ensuring of durability and reliability of certain units and parts of hoisting machines. The methods of research. The analytical and numerical methods with using PC and method of mathematical planning an experiment for solution of objectives are used. Originality of research consists in: the estimation of stresses appearing in the rope during bending on the pulley or drum was given; impact of the geometrical characteristics of rope on its stressed state was grounded; impact of the friction factor to the stressed state of rope is determined and estimated; the stressed state of wheel flange of overhead crane is determined; the estimation of the impact of the damping strip of wheel to its stresses is given; the estimation of the impact of the structural features of wheel to its durability is given; the differential equation system of forced oscillation for safety braking of three-mass system of single-extended lift hoisting unit is obtained; the diagram of design speed of drum as a result of solving the differential equation system is obtained; the equivalent dynamic scheme is made and the differential equations of single-extended hoisting unit for parallel motion are derived; it is determined that vibrational speeds of drum generate its disbalance; it si determined that the average design acceleration and deceleration of lift are greatly smaller their virtual maximum values; analytical forms of three-mass system of hoisting unit dynamic for determination of the moments of elastic forces and dynamic factors of rope is obtained; simplified formulas for determination of the maximum values of dynamic factors with 2,5 % inaccuracy are obtained; it is determined that oscillating processes in the shafting to the dynamic of the ropes of the single-extended drum hoisting unit don't influence; the estimate of the impact of rim deformation to the state of the braking clamps is given; the estimate of the impact of the dynamic loads to the metalware of the overhead crane during its running into end stops is given; the rational characteristics of the hydraulic damper is determined. Theoretical amount of research: new methods of design local compression of lift-and-shift details were suggested; improved design strength of metalware elements of road machines with beam and frame types is obtained; theoretical research of impact of running a hoist crane into the end stops to its metalware is conducted; research of dynamic margin of safety of ropes of cage elevators during different operating modes is conducted; equations of motion of load during hoist mechanism operation are obtained. Practical value of research consists in: new approach to increasing of durability of crane ropes is developed; increasing of durability of overhead crane wheels; increasing of durability of hoist machines brakes; increasing of durability of overhead crane metalwares using pneumohydraulic buffers; increasing of durability of boom mobile cranes metalware; increasing of reliable performance of journal boxes of crane wheels; adjustment of design strength of metal elements of road machines with frame type; hardening of lift-and-shift machines details.
