The subject of the study – historical background and modern social consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine. The main goal is to investigate the historical background and modern social consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine 2014-2016 and to publish the results of research in scientific and journalistic writings. For the implementation of the objectives will be studied relevant sources into account the latest achievements of the Humanities and social Sciences. Objectives of the study: – to explore, organize, and analyze existing historiography of labor, to establish the state of scientific development of the topic to identify the main stages and trends of its study; – to form a representative spring complex on the aggression of Russian Federation against Ukraine 2014-2016; – analyze the collected information on objects defined by the implementers of the study (economic. political, security, legal, international, etc) as well as in the context of the overall research topic, in particular: – to provide objective, science-based assessment of the preconditions and consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine in the integrated measurement of: 1) historical, 2) ethnodemographical, 3) Humanities, 4) geopolitical, 5) national security; – to develop the concept of paths and directions of integration of the annexed Crimea and the occupied parts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine. – to develop a collective scientific monograph "the Historical background and modern social consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine 2014-2016". At the 1st stage, the researchers focused on the tasks was about the reasons and historical background of Russian aggression against Ukraine. Research methods. The studies in this research used the principles of historicism, objectivity, systemic approach, academic rigour, as well as methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, logical, structural-functional, historical--chronological, biographical such scientific knowledge. Using the above principles and methods as possible to objectively investigate the problem and to solve tasks. Novelty The study is aimed at solving the General problem of overcoming the negative consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, increase of level of national security. Research is an important component for solving problems at the lower hierarchical level: 1) dullness (slowness) scientific interpretation of Russian aggression against Ukraine 2014-2016 modern means of Ukrainian studies; 2) insufficient use of scientific instrumentation Ukrainian studies to identify, describe, organize modern social consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine 2014-2016; 3) insecurity of the Supreme bodies of state power of Ukraine Ukrainian expert evaluation of the historical preconditions and modern social consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, as well as a conceptual vision of the ways, directions and strategy for the return of Russia annexed the Crimea and the occupied parts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, prevent the escalation of Russian attacks in Ukraine.
