The purpose of the research work is to prepare recommendations in the framework of the development of the Marine Strategy of Ukraine on a comprehensive assessment of the impact of natural and anthropogenic factors on the quality of coastal waters of the Black Sea in accordance with the requirements of European legislation. To achieve the goal, the following tasks are solved: - analysis of the requirements of European legislation regarding the management of the state of the marine environment; - assessment of the existing ecological state of the northwestern shelf of the Black Sea; - a comprehensive assessment of the impact of natural and anthropogenic factors on the quality of coastal waters of the Black Sea on the basis of mathematical modeling in 2016; - preparation of recommendations for a comprehensive assessment of the impact of natural and anthropogenic factors on the quality of the coastal waters of the Black Sea. The objects of the study are the ecosystem of coastal waters of the Black Sea and factors of influence. The subject of the study is indicators of the state of the marine ecosystem and indicators of the factors of influence. The methods of the study are comparative analysis and a method of mathematical modeling of the dynamics of the state of the marine ecosystem.
