There was proved failure of long-term conservative treatment of SELH. There was provided justification of measures for surgical treatment effectiveness, improvement of short-term and remote results of surgical treatment in case of SELH, and infection process relapse prevention. The measures for reducing the frequency of postoperative complications were approved. It helped to decrease hospital mortality by 2 times. There was developed and implemented algorithm of prevention techniques of SELH relapses that made it possible to reduce the frequency of this complication to 5.3% that is 1.9 times lower than the data of known foreign studies.
