The purpose of the project is the scientific substantiation and development of effective heat and mass transfer processes, which are the basis of metallurgical innovative technologies that increase the quality of metal products and the efficiency of their production. The method of research - the basis of researches is the use of fundamental laws of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer and hydro-gas dynamics, physical, mathematical and computer models, new technological approaches. New results and evidences on heat and mass transfer processes of metallurgical innovative technologies are obtained on the basis of theoretical and experimental researches, that including: generalization of information about heat and mass transfer processes and motion of stove gases in heating devices, model of the choice of effective heat and mass transfer processes in metallurgy on the basis of multicriterial and neurophase methods analyzes, research results of heat treatment of materials with new properties, scientific basis of the heat treatment process of biomass waste, the regularities of heat and mass transfer processes during the thermal processing of a fuel-water suspension with the pre-activation use, a non-isothermal and non-isobaric model for the study of reactions in the system iron oxide - carbon, which includes the equation of chemical kinetics and heat and mass transfer in the heat treatment of self-reducing pellets, calculation methods for optimizing the basic modes of unit operation liquid-phase reduction of iron, patterns of heat transfer and electrical conductivity of an electrothermal fluidized layer at temperature to 2500 oС.
