A system analysis of the interaction of an automobile wheel with a road unevenness was carried out. Mathematical dependences describing the processes in the suspension of the car and the nature of the change in the forces of interaction of an automobile wheel with a sinusoidal unevenness with its uniform rectilinear motion are given. A technique is developed for determining the transmission ratios of the car's transmission, subject to the minimum toxicity of the engine's exhaust gases.
