The purpose of the work is to justify measures for the organization of radiation protection of personnel of the units of the operational-rescue service of civil protection during the fire extinguishing operation in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the development of the project of methodic recommendation on the provision of radiation protection for the personnel of the operational-rescue service of civil protection of the units during extinguishing fires in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The research method is analytical. The urgent need is to create a project of methodic recommendations, the use of which will allow to provide measures for the organization of radiation protection of personnel of the units of the operational-rescue service of civil protection during the extinguishing of fires in the exclusion zone, namely, ensuring the proper level of training of fire brigades, selection of necessary means of personal protection and making decisions about the strategy and tactics of combating fire. The result of the research work is the consideration and acceptance by the customer of the project of methodic recommendations on the provision of radiation protection for the personnel of the operational-rescue service of civil protection units during extinguishing the fires in the exclusion zone.
