The purpose of the work is improving of the production technology of low-cement chromium-containing corundum castable with the addition of a new active alumina, intended for the lining of technical carbon reactors. The influence of a new brands (Nabalox NO 635 and Nabalox NO 713-10 MF) alumina addition (entering instead applied before brand CTC-40 active alumina addition) on the basic properties of unfired and fired at a temperature of 1580 °C vibrocast samples of low-cement chromium-containing corundum castable mixture, has been researched. The optimal brand (Nabalox NO 635) and amount of addition, that provides cold crushing strength increase on 10.6 % (rel.) and open porosity reduce on 1.3 % (rel.) of samples, has been determined. Has been established a dense finely porous structure formation, thereby achieving high properties of the samples, by petrographic research of fired castable samples, containing optimal addition alumina of a new brand, microstructure. The researches of the influence of castable mass humidity (in the range from 2.5 to 4.5 %) and compression pressure (50, 75, 100 MPa) on apparent density just-made and dried at 110 °C green-body, basic properties fired at 1580 °C pressed low-cement chromium-containing with an optimal addition corundum samples from castable mixture. The optimal mass moisture and specific pressing pressure, that ensure apparent density increase on 3.5 % (rel.) and cold crushing strength increase in ~ 1.9 times (compared to these characteristics of castable, produced at the institute before) of samples, have been determined. As a result of curry out researches, have been improved manufacturing technologies vibrocast and pressed low-cement chromium-containing corundum castable products. In PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A. S. BEREZHNOY" have been made pilot batches of: low-cement chromium-containing corundum castable brands SКBNH and SКB, with indicators properties, the relevant technical requirements; low-cement chromium-containing corundum lute, with indicators properties, the relevant requirements of the consumer; fired mullitecorundum refractory brand MK-90 as a wedge bricks of two sizes, with indicators properties, the relevant technical requirements. These refractory products have been supplied to consumers in the domestic market. Work should be continued in the directions of manufacturing improving of low-cement chromium-containing corundum castable, with the addition of a new alumina, the production technology; further improvement of corundum, chromium-containing corundum castable and fired mullite-corundum refractories production technology expanding the volume of their production and application.
