Purpose of work - to give recommendations on the choice of rational heat treatment regimes to ensure the corrosion resistance of austenitic steels, the optimal complex of mechanical properties of microalloyed steels, and the solution of the problem of sorting household waste. Research methods - tests for electrochemical corrosion, tensile tests at different degrees of deformation, metallographic, X-ray diffraction. The recommendations on the choice of the thermal treatment austenitic steels have been developed, which provides an increase in their corrosion resistance. Based on the conducted stu-dies for metal hoses made of steel AISI 304 and AISI 316, in order to reduce the tendency to cor-rosion damage (pitting corrosion), it is recommended to leave for internal stress removal at a temperature of 200 ° C for 60 minutes. It is determined that the processing of solid household waste accumulated in Ukraine can become a profitable industrial sector. Plastic processing is provided with raw materials for several years ahead and there are also objective reasons for its development in Mariupol, however it requires the introduction of technology for separate collection and sorting of household garbage. The possibility of forming a completely homogeneous distribution of the concentrations of chemical elements in microalloyed welded steels after isothermal aging at different subcritical temperatures has been established.
