Subject of research - methods of updating the aesthetic patterns of word art of mentioned period specified at the level of organization of artistic time and space. Purpose - analysis of functional specificity, forms and methods of artistic chronotope of existence in the Ukrainian literature of the XX-XXI centuries. Methods of research: aesthetic, hermeneutical, intermediary analysis, historical-typological, cultural-historical, structural-semantic, theoretical and critical and so on. Theoretical and practical results, their novelty: 1) proposed methodology for the analysis and interpretation of literary works in the aspect of the categories of "chronotope", "art time", "art space"; 2) deepened understanding of the art features of contemporary and modern Ukrainian literature; 3) held the international scientific conference "The Artistic modes of the chronotope in cultural discourse" (May 26-27, 2016, Melitopol); 4) signed a cooperation agreement with the Bucharest ecological University (Romania); 5) the theoretical results of the research are outlined in the book of abstracts (Artistic Modes of the Chronotope in Cultural Discourse : proceedings of the International scientific conference (26-27 May, 2016) / [ed.-emphasis. N.Yu. Akulova]. - Melitopol : publishing house of MSPU, 2016. - 251 p.) and scientific articles. The results of researches are introduced in educational process (teaching of normative and selective disciplines "Introduction in literary criticism", "History of Ukrainian literature of XX century", "Theory of literature", "Literary work in the aspect of onto-aesthetic categories of "space" and "time", "the Topos of the sacred in Ukrainian literature of the 20-ies of XX century" and others, writing of diploma works of students; - thematic seminars, with the publication of abstracts). Recommendations for use of results: for the training of linguists-specialists EQL "Bachelor" and "Master".
