Object of study - rickettsia strains, rickettsial antigens, rickettsiosis, typhus, Q fever, tick-borne spotted fever, pediculosis. Research methods: rickettsiological, microbiological, serological, molecular genetic, epidemiological, entomological, statistics. Devices - pH-meter, weights, colorimeter. Analyzed the modern epidemic situation of rickettsial infections and shown the relevance of development domestic antigenic preparations for laboratory diagnosis of these diseases. Studied the technological process of manufacturing rickettsial antigenic preparations, modern methodological principles learned from studying the biological activity of pathogenic strains of rickettsiae using polymerase chain reaction in real time. Conducted researches on guinea pigs strains pathogenic rickettsiae indicated they saved, but a reduced biological activity after prolonged storage at low temperature. It outlines the appropriate stage of the technological process in the manufacture of experimental models rickettsial antigenic preparations, namely enhancement of reproductive cells sensitive laboratory models to produce the necessary antigenic biomass. The received new data on the epidemic situation in Ukraine with typhus, including the preservation of the pathogen in the vector populations (lice) in different regions of Ukraine that confirmed by modern methods of PCR and Immunofluorescent microscopy. According to the study Ixodes ticks and murine rodents found Q fever pathogen circulation in natural foci of infection in Odesa and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Detection of acute disease and recent transferred diseases among residents of Odesa region confirmed the further development of the epidemic process Q fever in these areas. By results of researches published scientific papers, published by Ukrmedpatentinform declarative patent, three newsletters, declarative patent, prepared six information-analytical reviews that are embedded in health care facilities. Socio-economic efficiency of work is determined by timely detection of people diseases on rickettsiosis and prevention of epidemic outbreaks in the population.
