Research is caused by an extremely small number of theaters compared to the EU the blocking of conditions of the work and a complete lack of state support for local independent theaters. The research formulates basic problems of such forms in Ukraine on the basis of experimental activity, analyzed the public policy and the practice in Europe, where they are the majority theaters. The study identified the main directions of the theater reform, in particular the priority areas of support, reallocation of funding between the public and private sectors, creating a network of theatrical centers with effective models of organization and the grant system.
