A research object is a sheth of coal mine. The article of researches is providing of gas safety of sheth of 168 lava of PSS "Mine "STEPNAYA" Private Joint-stock Company "DTEK Pavlogradugol". Methods of researches are generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations on standard methodologies. As a result of implementation of work the analysis of basic data is executed about mining-and-geological and mining technical descriptions of sheth of 168 lava of layer of С6 PSS "Mine "STEPNAYA" Private Joint-stock Company "DTEK Pavlogradugol". The calculation of expected metane relasse is executed, necessary expense of air for ventilation of sheth, parameters of the boring drilling, diameters of gas pipeline and mode of operations of vacuum-pump. "Project of degassing of sheth of 168 lava of PSS "Mine "STEPNAYA" Private Joint-stock Company "DTEK Pavlogradugol" is worked out, events on a management by the decontamination system during fires and technician of safety at the boring drilling and exploitation of decontamination mining holes. Worked out to "Recommendation on providing of gas safety of works on the coulisse of coal in 171 lava of layer of С6 at producing in the fresh stream of air acting on her ventilation, outgoing vent stream of air from the preparatory coalface of breaking-down drift of 171 lava of layer of С6 PSS "Mine "STEPNAYA" Private Joint-stock Company "DTEK Pavlogradugol". Results of introduction of developments - application of the worked out recommendations allowed to promote gas safety of sheth, safety of conduct of stopping on a gor, that has a large socio-economic and ecological value.
