Purpose - the generalization of theoretical and methodological issues and develop proposals for reforming the promising areas of financial and credit system. The main scientific results are as follows: the development of the model of the system for ensuring Ukraine's investment security, including an author's approach to assessing Ukraine's investment security and its institutional prerequisites are considered; the improvement of the conceptual foundations of financial stability of credit institutions (in particular, its interpretation, classification of species, content forming characteristics, structuring of its driving factors); the substantiation of the methodology of a system forming for ensuring the financial stability of credit institutions, based on the theory of dynamic financial equilibrium, the concept of value-oriented management, risk-oriented approach and ideas of the concept of sustainable development; elaboration of approaches to the organization of the Deposit Guarantee Fund in the aspect of asset management of liquid banks and establishment of financial investigations of bank operations with owners and insiders, and also the calculation, charging and payment of regulatory fee of the Deposit Guarantee Fund is proposed; the development of the methodology of bank crisis management and its main features by the system approach, including scientific and methodical approaches to the diagnosis of the crisis in the banking system at micro and macro levels; the study of the strategic management of the banks with state property functioning, as well as important organizational and managerial aspects of the activities of financial institutions of Ukraine in modern conditions, namely, the rational resource allocation of resources and the peculiarities of the introduction of innovations into the activities of financial intermediaries.
