A purpose of the work is study the influence of permeable obstacles on the processes of propagation and transformation of surface gravity waves. A research method is the physical modeling of the processes of propagation of surface gravity waves and their interaction with permeable obstacles. In the presented work the detailed preparation of physical experiment is conducted. The description of the experimental setup and the technique of conduction the experimental studies are presented. The main characteristics of waves propagating in the channel have been obtained. Test studies of wave interaction with permeable obstacles are performed and the results of these studies are analyzed.
