Bogatsky, Physico-Chemical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Prognostication and directed search of binary and complex oxides - components of systems with Germanium, in which it is shown the CVD ("Chemical Vapor Deposition") - mechanism of evaporation and condensation due to interaction with formation of volatile compounds under the conditions of vacuum and high temperatures are carried out. Those are oxides of Zinc, Indium, Germanium, Tin, Antimony and some other metals of II-V groups, and also complex oxides of lanthanides indates and stannates of type. Methods of IR transmittance spectroscopy, electronic spectroscopy of diffuse reflectance and the x-ray phase analysis of products of CVD - interactions in systems ZnO-Ge, In2O3-Ge, GeO2-Ge, SnO2-Ge, In2SnO5-Ge, LnInO3 (Ln - La, Sm, Eu)-Ge, Ln2Sn2O7 (Ln - Nd, Sm, Eu, Dy, Ho, Er)-Ge established the fact of deep interaction between their components with formation of volatile products Zn, In2O, GeO, SnO, and also various non-volatile compounds in a solid phase. In case of formation of GeO in particular, in systems GeO2-Ge and SnO2-Ge (as well as for initial preparate GeO) in IR spectra, besides absorption bands, are shown characteristic oscillations, probably, caused by nano-structural character of GeO in a solid phase. The method of thermal evaporation in vacuum tested systems ZnO-Ge, GeO2-Ge, SnO2-Ge for possibility of this sort of application of composites in interference optics of an IR range of a spectrum. It is established that their refractive indices lie within 2.0-2.4 at border of transparency in a short-wave range about 0.5-0.55 microns.
