The aim of the project is to increase the functionality of diamond grinding wheels on metal bonds by developing design and technological bases and technical solutions, the practical realization of which makes it possible to grind hard-to-work and other materials with such tools with the initiation of electrical effects in the cutting zone on universal machines without special modernization of such machines. During the investigation, the analytical, electrophysical, optic-microscopic, X-ray structural methods of research were used. As a result of the research, the main factors of influence of the microarc oxidation process on the dielectric parameters of the coatings were determined, rational conditions of their formation, composition of the electrolyte, electric mode, electrolysis time were determined. The design and technological bases of creation of diamond tools with selective dielectric protection and with increased functionality due to this are developed. For the first time, the feasibility of the use of micro-arc-oxidation-coatings as electrical insulating ones on metal cases of grinding wheels, which are used in electrophysical and chemical grinding technologies, is scientifically grounded.
