Aim of the study - development of environmentally safe aluminium-depolarizing cycle of hydrogen electrosynthesis, the functional coating and metal-oxide reference electrode formation. Methods - voltammetry, chronoamperometry, chronopotentiometry, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray fluorescence and X-ray phase analysis. A safe way of oxygen-free hydrogen synthesis with anode process depolarization by aluminum alloys is proposed. The method allows saving of up to 50% of electricity. The kinetic parameters of deposition of functional coatings by nickel-vanadium and nickel-tungsten alloys on steel substrate and multilayer nickel-copper coatings on aluminum alloy surface. The ability to diagnose the performance of lead batteries by controlling the rate of charge-discharge voltage change depending on the capacity using metal oxide reference electrodes has been established.
