Objective: To study the scientific content of education for children with hearing impairment and personality development oriented technologies in the context of implementation of socio-cultural approach. Methods: Theoretical: analysis of philosophical, psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature, learning and generalization teaching experience, comparative analysis. Empirical: methods of educational and psychological diagnostics (psychological-pedagogical observation, questionnaire, survey students, parents and teachers of educational institutions), analysis of student work and teaching documents. Results: The regularities that determine the transformation of the social institution of education and the major trends in the reform of education of children with special needs, in particular children with hearing impairments. Characterized by trends that are relevant in the implementation of modern world requirements to build the content of the education of children with hearing impairments, in particular: adopting a social model understanding hearing loss; recognition of the benefits of the principles of subjectivity, variability and flexibility of educational content and consideration the interdependence of informative and technological components; personality-oriented, activity-based and competency-based educational approaches. Scientifically the content of the main link in the education of children with hearing impairments on the basis of the personal orientation of education, recognition of individuality, identity and self-worth of the individual, the account of subjective experience, capabilities and needs of the student. Developed the content of the main link in the education of children of deaf and hearing-impaired subjects: the Ukrainian language, geography, labour studies (grades 8-10). Theoretically grounded and developed content Programs r development work for 5-9 (10) grades of specialty secondary education: "Rhythm" for deaf children; "Rhythm" for children who are hard of hearing; 1-5, 6-10, 11-12 classes of secondary schools with special and inclusive forms of education:"The Development of auditory-visual-tactile speech perception and the formation of pronunciation for deaf children (co-author), "The Development of auditory perception and the formation of pronunciation for children who are hard of hearing" (co-author).
