Karazin popup.description2 Object of research: blocks of rotation and thermal heating of industrial products for deposition of functional coatings; planar magnetron sputtering system and test stand for application of tungsten coatings; a method of depositing coatings on graphite products; hydride-forming metallic alloys based on lanthanum and zirconium; IFE source. The aim of the work: the development of the technical capabilities of the technological complex of vacuum-plasma coatings deposition for the processing of industrial products; study of the composition of monomolecular layers on the surface of hydride forming materials; modernization of the IFE source. Methods of investigation: secondary ions mass spectrometry, ion-photon spectrometry. Blocks of rotation and thermal heating of industrial products for deposition of functional coatings have been created. The planar magnetron sputtering system and test stand for deposition of tungsten coatings have been developed and created. The method of coatings deposition on graphite products has been developed. The optimal modes of operation of MSS for obtaining both satisfactory adhesion of the coating and an acceptable rate of application have been determined. The investigation of the composition of the monomolecular layers of the surface of the hydrogen storage alloys LaNi4.75Al0.25 and LaNi4.5Mn0.5 and the hetter alloys Zr2Fe, Zr33.3Fe16.7V50 and Zr65Ti5V30 under irradiation with 8 ? 16 keV Ar+ ion beam was carried out. The study of the properties of the surface, in particular its chemical composition, the modification of this composition depending on the experimental conditions, as well as the determination of the role of the components of the alloys in the processes of hydride formation, can provide useful information on the initial stages of interaction with gaseous hydrogen. The results of the study can be used to improve the metal hydride technologies of compressing, storing and transporting hydrogen in a chemically bonded state, creating effective pump systems and regulated supply of low pressure hydrogen in vacuum-plasma installation. On the basis of a miniature magnetron sputtering system the experimental sample of IFE source was created, that greatly increased the efficiency of the formation of excited particles of the investigated substance.
