The features of the social life and life of the population of the Eastern region are clarified. The content of the historical memory of the Center of Ukraine and Donbass is analyzed, various judgments of historical events of the past and the present are settled. The state of the spiritual culture of the East of Ukraine, the peculiarities of the coexistence of religions and confessions within the region, basic signs of the most important cultural trends and ethnic representations of Donbass are described. The models of media participation in the processes of formation, existence and development of multi-ethnic regions are proposed. The experience of the integration of immigrants, including displaced universities, into a new cultural and educational space is studied. Mechanisms that support reconciliation of various regions of Ukraine are revealed. The annual report analyzes the information and communication aspects of a hybrid war that lasts in the East of Ukraine; analyzes the social existencials of civil society in Ukraine in general and in the Donbas in particular; indicates the role of the confessional factor and ideology of the "Russian world" in the deployment of armed conflict, raises the question of the importance of the media in the escalation of violence and the reverse reconciliation process, as well as on the mechanisms of including internally displaced persons and displaced universities in the new social and cultural environment; the details of the external aggressor technological impact on the mass consciousness that provoked the events of the "Russian Spring" are revealed, recommendations for the development of immunity to such effects in the future are given.
