The kinetic properties of coatings (the formation of energy bands in ultrathin layers, the features of the flow of dynamic and static electricity, the conditions for the appearance of electrical conductivity - the threshold of current flow, the phenomenon of percolation) are studied in the process of nucleation and growth of metal films, the effect of surface active sublayers on the physical properties of the metal films being studied, from quantum to classical dimensional effects in charge transfer. A unique technique for reducing the thickness of the layers of the metals is developed, it corresponds to the current threshold and the method for creating layers and surfaces with specified reproducible structure, optical and electrical properties. For the first time, information was obtained that allowed further development of model concepts on the nature of the quantum (ballistic) and classical dimensional effects in metal layers of nanometer thickness. Specific features of the influence of sublayers of different nature on the structure, optical properties and phenomena of charge transfer in the thickness range (1-50 nm) in single- and double-layer metal-semiconductor films are determined. The obtained results of the research are unique and obtained for the first time, which makes it possible to use them in related fields of physics and chemistry (physics and surface chemistry, nanoelectronics, sensorics).
