The temperature variations of the surface of the concrete storage container during the day are determined under the condition of maximum solar load. A separately placed container and a group of containers on the dry storage site of the Zaporizhska NPP were simulated. It is shown that there is no effect of solar radiation on the thermal state of the spent fuel assemblies in the storage container, and significant daily temperature variations on the container surface are revealed.
